32 Series

Coming from an innate desire to craft a versatile and balanced instrument to suit the needs for all manner of players, the 32 Series is the first generation of the Clements line of guitars to be proudly introduced to the market. A modern design grounded in traditional lutherie craftsmanship and techniques, the 32 Series is a 25.5″ scale set neck electric guitar designed to run the sonic gamut through its highly responsive construction.

A combination of figured maple and genuine mahogany provides the foundation for the 32 Series body; a tried and true recipe that balances the overtones of both woods. Quartersawn genuine mahogany comprises the neck, reinforced by carbon fiber inserts to counteract string tension and discourage neck warping over time. Ziricote, an abundant and aesthetically pleasing alternative to ebony, makes up the fingerboard. All of these components are hide glued together with hand-planed and scraped surfaces for superior wood to wood connections and tonal quality in comparison to standard PVA glue and sanded surfaces.

From its inception the 32 Series was designed with two key aspects at the forefront; versatility and player comfort. The uniquely sloped neck joint and ergonomic palm cuts, while initially designed to benefit players prone to faster playing, allow for effortless access to the highest frets and can benefit any style of play. A triad of an arm contour, belly cut, and slim body design combine together to further bring the 32 Series to just under seven pounds, giving it a lightweight and comfortable feel that gigging musicians will certainly appreciate during an extended set.

History of the 32 Series

“Victory or death.”- William Barrett Travis, Lt. Col. Comdt. February 24th, 1835

Besieged on multiple fronts at the Alamo Mission by superior Mexican forces, a call was dispatched “To the People of Texas and All Americans in the World” to render aid to the one hundred and fifty men of the Texian Militia. Their only reinforcements came one week later in the form of thirty-two volunteers from Gonzales. These thirty-two men understood that by answering their call to arms they would be riding into certain death. Nevertheless, they went. One of these men was Isaac G. Baker, brother-in-law to Joseph D. Clements. He, along with his fellow volunteers are known in Texas history as “The Immortal 32”.

The 32 Series is our way to honor their story and sacrifice.
